'Cape Trib'/Daintree Rainforest
The
Greater Daintree, protected by ruggedness and wild rivers, contains the
largest area of virgin tropical rainforest in Australia. Along the Cape
Tribulation, affectionately known as "Cape Trib" - Daintree
coastline can be found two of the most complex eco-systems on earth side
by side: coral reef and tropical rainforest. The beauty and uniqueness
of this landscape including its animals, birds and reptiles is truly deserved
of its World Heritage status.

Cape York Peninsula
For
thousands of years it has defied the onslaught of civilisation. Until
a little over a 100 years ago only indigenous Australians enjoyed this
unique paradise. History records that Europeans first touched our shores
here almost four centuries ago but ironically this is still Australia's
last pioneering frontier, the last of our continent to be explored, settled
or developed.
The quest to conquer has always attracted man to the least accessible
of earth's surfaces - the highest mountain, the widest desert, the most
remote...In Australia, the greatest achievement is, without question,
to reach the northernmost tip, Cape York.
Still
a wild, sparsely populated wilderness, and trafficable only during the
months from April to December and then only by four-wheel-drive vehicles
for most of the way, to travel overland to the Cape is still an adventure
, opening up to the traveller some of this country's most splendid and
diverse scenery.
To stand at the most northerly point of Australia where oceans meet, overlooking
the scattered islands of the Torres Strait, is indeed an awe-inspiring
and overwhelming experience (more...)
The Great Barrier Reef
This
amazing coral phenomenon encompasses almost a quarter of a million square
kilometres, from just north of Bundaberg at its southern extremity to
the Torres Strait in the north. "The Reef" has no equal. No
where is more magnificent than off the east coast of Cape York Peninsula.

to the Northern Territory in the west. Known as the "Outback By The Sea",
it encompasses miles of untouched beaches, lush bushland, remote cattle
stations, historical mining towns and breathtaking National Parks. Each
town has its own unique outback style coupled with a friendliness second to
none. The contrast of the area is staggering. A holiday to the Gulf region
offers adventure, beauty and a lesson in history giving the visitor a
multitude of experiences.

Rich in the history and folklore of early pioneers, gold rushes, explorers and aboriginal culture, you'll wonder at the ever-changing landscapes that will surprise you with it's amazing diversity from the lush Tropical Coast to the heart of the outback with it's stunning Mountain Ranges and wide open plains. A land of ancient geological and prehistoric wonders. Discover the towns that stand testament to a time gone by, where history and stories of those times have been kept alive.

Kimberley & Tanami Desert
Stretching from the Northern Territory border in the east, across
to the coast in the west and south to the Great Sandy Desert, the
wild and remote area known as the Kimberley is one of the countries
last great frontiers The region offers one of the most spectacularly
rugged coast line in the world. A place of soaring red cliffs and
cascading waterfalls, tidal rivers lined with dense Rainforest,
sprawling mangroves, and all are teeming with wild life.
The area is virtually unspoilt, and for the very simple reason
it’s remote.

Oz Military Heritage Tours
During the Second World War, Queensland was a massive operational and logistical base for Allied forces preparing to push back invading enemy forces. Memories may have faded over the past 65 years, but the legacy of war remains in the form of fortifications, military camps, airfields, lovingly restored vehicles and aircraft and of course local folklore. Join Oz Tours as we explore Queensland's Wartime past in our Oz Military Heritage Tours. All Oz Military Heritage Tour itineraries include all meals, entry fees and accommodation. Traveller comfort is assured in our "Oz Personnel Carrier", a customised Mitsubishi Warrior 4WD tour coach. (more...)

Jowalbinna has a rich past. Its Aboriginal occupation dates back over 30,000 years, and the images of Quinkan spirits, totem animals and people adorn many of the rock shelters. The discovery of gold on the Palmer River brought thousands of miners from 1873 on the old coach road from Cooktown to the goldfields. Conflict, dislocation and new diseases decimated the Aboriginal people, and the traditional lifestyle of over a thousand generations was lost. Now the rock art tells the stories of the past.
